Age: 32-Married and we have 3 girls (Kennedy, Karson, Alexandra)
Occupation and Background: I am a cattle buyer for Cargill with a BS in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University. I grew up on a ranch in Southwest Kansas where most of my family still lives. After college I returned home to work for my Dad and started 5 Mile Creek Outfitters. Although my career changed I still guide 4-8 hunts each year and I enjoy helping clients harvest Trophy Deer off our ranch.
Biggest Outdoor Achievement: I have shot several 160+ deer with my bow but helping my 9 year old and 6 year old daughters shoot a full 3D course this summer with their bows was great and I am looking forward to their first hunts in the coming years.
Favorite Hunting Icon: My Grandpa - Olis Goodnight
Dream Hunt: Each time I pick up my bow and head to a blind. Out here you never know what might walk by.
Favorite Outdoor Activities: I love shooting 3D tournaments. When I am not hunting or scouting I am usually down at the archery range practicing. |

AGE: 31-married, Wife Jennifer, 2 Sons, Kurt age 5, Eli age 9months.
Occupation and Background: Manager at a large hardscape and landscape company. 2yr degree in carpentry and cabinet making Biggest outdoor accomplishment: I would have to say that taking my five yr old Kurt and capturing him killing his first deer ever out of a Rhino ground blind with a crossbow on film is definitely my biggest accomplishment, in my eyes.
Favorite Hunting Icon: Hard to pick just one, the Drury brothers are at the top of my list though. They can lay some big deer down on film consistently. I think they know what a big deer is thinking before the deer knows what he is thinking. Being in the hunting industry I know how hard it is to do this but they do it year after year.
Dream Hunt: A dream hunt for me would be an early season Elk hunt in New Mexico or Colorado. Kentucky would work as well if I could ever get drawn.
Favorite Outdoor Activities: I like to do anything related to hunting, preseason scouting, food plots, trail cameras, hanging stands and so on. One day I would love to host a event for disabled hunters, catch a dream or anything that would let me help someone who is not as fortunate as a lot of us are. I think we take the ability we have to hunt for granted, if I ever lost that ability I don't know what I would do. It would mean a lot to me to do this for someone who has lost that ability. |

Take a hefty portion of Southern charm, add a dash of country livin’, a pinch of urban style, wash it all down with a sweet, fresh sound, and you have Colt Ford. A man with such a blend of unique talents and tastes can only be the natural recipe for this new sound and musical format. A man of extraordinary talents and background, Colt still humbly considers himself an “Average Joe.” A songwriter, golfer, musician, and family man, he continues to enjoy hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife and two children with encouragement from his wife, a pro bull riding fan, Colt wrote “Buck ‘Em” for the Professional Bull Riders, Inc. The organization quickly adopted the song as the new PBR anthem and Colt made his musical and video debut on national television at the VERSUS Invitational Pro Bull Riding Competition in Madison Square Garden in January 2007. The unique fusion of musical styles makes “Buck ‘Em” as popular among the traditional legends as it is among the younger riders. Further honoring the sport, the video features several top bull riders and is a guaranteed favorite among the fans. Ford also wrote and recorded the theme song, “Huntin’ The World” for the hit television show, Huntin’ The World, Southern Style, where Ford received and award for “Best New Theme Song” at the 2009 Golden Moose Awards. |
